Wild Man is Found Near Alton, Mo.

A "wild man" has been seen in the vicinity of Alton according to the Alton South Missourian-Democrat. The first report received of the "wild man" was from the state highway gang northeast of Alton. They said "it" walked upright like a man. Lewis Bates, who lives on the Greer road, northeast of Alton, said he was riding a mule and came up within 50 yards of the "wild man" and could see him plainly. He said "it" looked like an animal, was rather brown, with hair all over its body and had a face something like a monkey.
