Late night sighting by motorists north of Germantown

YEAR: 2005

SEASON: Winter

MONTH: February

STATE: Ohio

COUNTY: Montgomery County

LOCATION DETAILS: Cherry Street going out of Germantown turns into Diamond Mill Road at Little Twin Road, the fork in the road where Little Twin Road is where the sighting of this huge long haired thing crossing Little Twin Road from Diamond Mill.

NEAREST TOWN: Germantown

NEAREST ROAD: Diamond Mill Road

OBSERVED: My husband and I were on our way home late one night when I saw the headlights of the car shine on something crossing the road. I shouted to my husband "DID YOU SEE THAT?" He said, "See what?" I was all excited and couldn't believe that he didn't see it, but he had a good reason, he was focused on the steep hill and curve we were about to drive up and it was late and dark out. We drove down Cherry Street in Germantown that turns into Diamond Mill on the outskirts of town. There is a fork in the road at Little Twin Road. We go this route frequently when we go to my mother's in Middletown from our home off of Diamond Mill located on the outskirts of Farmersville and we come home the same direction. We were on the way home when I saw this creature. I was in total shock that night when I saw something really tall with long straight hair all over, dark rusty brown, and had a long stride as it crossed the road. I was trying to see if it were a hunter dressed in some hunting outfit, but then remembered that it was March and NOT hunting season. I told others of this sighting and was made fun of repeatedly until my neighbor just told me this morning of seeing the bigfoot in the same area. I was elated that finally someone else saw what I saw in the same location! I now travel with my camera ready in that area!

OTHER WITNESSES: My husband was driving, he says he didn't see it because he was focused on the steep hill we were about to go up. I was in the passenger seat and saw it in the head lights.

OTHER STORIES: Yes! I was just informed by my neighbor that a large cat is on the loose and then she talked about seeing a bigfoot near Germantown, when I asked her where she told me of the same area on Diamond Mill Road where she saw it.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: It was late that night, after eleven o'clock.

ENVIRONMENT: There are wooded areas, fields, creeks all around this area.

Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator Harold Benny:

I talked to the witness by phone and found her to be very excited about the sighting as well as credible. The sighting was at less than thirty feet but lasted only about five seconds as the animal crossed the road going downhill coming off of a worn game trail. She described the bipedal animal as being over six feet tall, with a slightly stocky build, and covered with dark hair which hung about six to eight inches off the forearms. The face was very human and reminded her of Chewbacca the wookiee. Local legend tells of "The Butter Street Monster" which is a wolf-like animal that walks on it's hind legs. Butter Street is about a mile to the East of this sighting. The immediate area is also known for strange vocalizations sometimes heard at night.
