Report # 79559  (Class B)
Submitted by witness Byron Walker on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
Bigfoot howls heard west of Hideaway Lake, 9 miles south of Sabine River

YEAR: 2025

SEASON: Fall

MONTH: December

DATE: 12

STATE: Texas

COUNTY: Smith County

LOCATION DETAILS: 32.488537, -95.474415

NEAREST TOWN: Lindale

NEAREST ROAD: county road 434

OBSERVED: 2 nights ago between 2am and 5am I heard the howling exactly like the howling links provided on your website homepage. I have over a 100 acres in my backyard of forest. (Not all my land) but is uninhabited. I live close to Hideaway lake and not too far from this sighting on 11/18/25. I was never a believer until 2 nights ago. Nothing else around here sounds like that. It made the hair on my body stand up. From the distance of the howls, I believe there were 2 of them, one closer to my location and another a couple hundred yards from me. When I went to the tree line and shown my flashlight into the thicket, the one closest stopped howling but the one further away keep going. And then something tapped a high tensile wire or line 2 times. Metallic sounding tap. There are wire fences and an abandoned chicken coop about 50 yards from where I was standing, which no one or nothing else could have done at 4am where I live. It knew I was there. I was outside from 4am till almost 6am. As the sky started to lighten from sunrise, the sounds stopped. A morning I’ll never forget.

[On 12/15/25 the following info was added to this report]

I submitted a report of howling a couple days ago close to the Garden valley sighting. I originally did not think I had other witnesses, but my 2 neighbors corroborated my story when speaking with them directly. They heard it as well. The GPS coordinates are still accurate, We’ve walked some of their property looking for footprints or other clues. But the triple howl on your audio page is exactly what we heard. As a side note, 2 nights later I walked outside thinking I’d try to knock on wood to see if I could get a reply and within 30 seconds of walking out my back door a very large tree could be heard falling in a wooded area near both our property. There was no wind and I could hear the wood splintering and disturbing other trees around it when it fell with a very large thump. It may be unrelated but I’m inclined to think not. the coincidence was to unreal.

ALSO NOTICED: It was just the duration and the possibility that there were two, one closer to me and one about 200 to 400 yards away.

OTHER WITNESSES: 2 neighbors

OTHER STORIES: this is very close to the sighting in Garden Valley reported here on 11/18.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: 2am through 5:30am

ENVIRONMENT: Pine forest, heavily wooded terrain with a few ponds. Uninhabited but for a few homes surrounding the forest area
