OBSERVED: heard 2 howls 15 seconds apart while bowhunting this morning 7:30 am. i am 70 years old and have been hunting all my life, i have heard coyote's and wolfs this was neither.i have heard the sound before on tv or utube on bigfoot shows that people have recorded.i was hunting in the diamond bay area on lake norfork.

OTHER WITNESSES: no witness hunting alone

TIME AND CONDITIONS: 60 degrees 7:30 in the morning sunny and no breeze i could hear a pin drop.

There are several large, slow moving, lake-like rivers near the border between Missouri and Arkansas. There are many deer in this region and many bigfoot reports near these rivers. This area next to Lake Norfork (a damned river) is the type of area where howls like this would occur, or at least be noticed, at this time of year.

Fortunately, these types of howls carry for a long distance, so if they occur again over next few days in the same area they will be audible from anywhere near Diamond Bay in Lake Norfork. It would be great if someone around there could get a recording of these howls. Just record video with your phone to get the sound. Aim it in the direction of the sounds.

Unlike a road-crossing sighting from a car, the long howls in Fall often last long enough for you to pull out your phone and start recording. This particular bow hunter will be more prepared to do that next time. When it happens the first time by surprise, the person who hears is listening intently to figure out what is making the sound rather than thinking they should try to record it. It's a different matter on the second occasion.

These howls were heard yesterday so there's a good chance they will occur again over the next few days or weeks on this side of Lake Norfork.
