Dates: April 30 - May 3, 2009 (Thurs. - Sun.)
This will be the second BFRO expedition in Mendocino County. The first
expedition targetted a fairly remote location in the mountains near the
Yolla Bolly Wilderness, where some BFRO investigators had described encounters
in the past. The expedition yielded a few possible approaches, and one
possible rock throwing incident. However, the limited roads and general
difficultly in getting around in that mountainous terrain, combined with
the general remoteness of the area, spurned some motivation to look for
other habitat zones in Mendo.
BFRO investigator Brandon Kiel has identified a new area in Mendo with
a history, that is much easier for the group to access. At
this time he is accepting requests for participation by non-members. You
can contact him to inquire via email (NCalifornia@BFRO.net) after you
have read the Frequently Asked Questions about
the expeditions.
