Man has nighttime sighting of two bipedal creatures behind his home near Mannford

YEAR: 2009

SEASON: Summer

MONTH: September

STATE: Oklahoma

COUNTY: Creek County

LOCATION DETAILS: Off highway 51 that heads out of Tulsa okla., You head west through Mannford and turn south onto highway 48 and go about 6 miles to 87th.

NEAREST ROAD: Highway 48 & 87th place

OBSERVED: I live outside of Mannford Okla. in Creek county.6 miles south on Highway 48. By 87th place. I was outside about midnight September 8th 2009. I was talking on my cell phone out in the driveway of Our house. There are a few trailers around Us and the one directly behind Us keep their porch light on most nights. The moon was very bright and there were clouds but mostly a clear sky.
I was chatting on the phone when I noticed movement that was shaped like a man walking across the field in front of some medium sized trees...The head was about halfway up to the top of the trees, which would have made them about 7-8 feet tall. I told the persons that I was on the phone with and then preceeded in telling someone in the house to turn Our back lights on...I saw the being being followed by a smaller or a hunched over second being. They crouched into the tall grass and then I lost sight of them until they walked off into the darkness and more trees...all I could see was a dark outline and the gait was very apelike..arms swinging at the sides...Their body seemed to turn at the waist to look my way...
There have been an abundance of Bigfoot sightings in this area the 2 years We have lived here. We often hear screaming in the woods. The last incident was last Summer for about a week.

ALSO NOTICED: A rock or something hit the shed next to Our trailer right before I went inside. Only once.

OTHER WITNESSES: Only myself and I was on the phone the whole time...Had been for about 2 hours.

OTHER STORIES: There have been numerous incidents reported for the two years We have lived out here. They come from all of the surrounding areas for miles around.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: Was about midnight...bright moon and clear starry sky..warm night.

ENVIRONMENT: This area is heavily wooded with open fields as well. There is a creek bottom across the highway that runs for miles and is concealed by thick trees.

Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator Todd Perteet:

After speaking with the witness, Jonathan, by phone, the following details can be added to this report:

Since he didn’t have a cell signal inside, Jonathan was outside using his cell phone for a conference call.
He had made the call at about 10:00 P.M. and estimates it was about two hours later (12:00 A.M) that the incident began.

As Jonathan was facing west looking across the moonlit field, he caught a glimpse of something moving from his right to left, or north to south, which he initially believed to be a human. He then noticed another sizeable shape accompanying the figure, and assumed it to be a large animal until it stood up on two legs. The smaller figure remained facing in a southerly direction, bending over repeatedly to apparently pick things up (there is an abundance of blackberry bushes in the area). Jonathan then saw the larger figure crouch down in the tall grass about 150 feet away, all the while facing him. He also lost sight of the smaller one at this point. Jonathan continued to watch the area for several minutes until the large figure stood again, followed by the smaller one. At this point, the larger one reached over to grab (as if to lead) the smaller one as they began to move away towards some trees and an abandoned house to the southwest. Jonathan’s sighting ended as they entered the darkness but he remained outside for another thirty minutes or so in hopes of seeing them again. He places the total time of the sighting at around ten minutes.

In describing the figures’ physical characteristics and movements , Jonathan provided these observations:

- The larger of the two was always watching Jonathan and appeared to have its entire torso turned in his direction even when its path was perpendicular to him.
- Walked in a steady, unhurried manner with a slight “bounce.” Strides were long and smooth.
- Its arms swung as it walked but never lifted. The hands appeared to hang at knee level or slightly lower.
- Color appeared to be very dark or black with shoulder length hair on the head.
- Height is estimated at between seven and eight feet, based on comparisons to the trees he witnessed it standing in front of.
- Shoulders were very broad and body was massive, much larger than any human.
- The smaller one was probably between four and five feet in height when compared to the larger figure.
- It had a much slighter build and seemed to be gray in color.
- During the sighting, the smaller figure seemed completely uninterested in Jonathan and only concerned with whatever it appeared to be picking up.

There was no sound or smell that Jonathan could detect, possibly due to a breeze from the south. Though very afraid, Jonathan never felt threatened or that he would be approached. He was also unable to determine the gender of either.

About five minutes after the figures disappeared, Jonathan noticed that his neighbor had stepped outside, then walked around his trailer - this being in the general direction the figures were headed. Several days later Jonathan was talking to this man regarding their shared well and mentioned seeing him come out. His neighbor explained that one of their three daughters had come running from her bedroom to tell he and his wife that someone was “laughing weirdly” outside her window so he had gone to check it out. He didn’t see or hear anything.
