Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator Stan Courtney:
I spoke with all three brothers by phone. The youngest told me that he was about fifty feet from the animal. He said that it was seven or eight feet tall and about four feet wide. It was so hairy he could not make out any facial features. He stated that the animal just stood and watched him. The boy quickly panicked and hurried back to his brothers.
The two older brothers stated that as they were leaving one of the kids spotted the animal across the river. It was at a greater distance and they could not see it very well.
The oldest brother was in the same area two or three days later and saw what he thought was the same animal at a distance of about 150 feet. He said that it was reddish-brown in color and about seven feet tall. It walked away when it saw him. He was impressed by its large size and that its arm hung down close to its knees.
