Huge upright figure crosses road in-front of Marysville couple at night
(Show Printer-friendly Version)

YEAR: 2012

SEASON: Winter

MONTH: December

DATE: 11

STATE: Washington

COUNTY: Snohomish County

LOCATION DETAILS: North from Marysville on 67th to Hilltop Road. To the right there is a steep hill it had to have come down judging by the foliage that it had slid down the hill in the direction it was headed. And to the left where it went to is a steep downward hill that had a lot of trees and obstacles.

NEAREST TOWN: Marysville

NEAREST ROAD: 67th Ave

OBSERVED: My fiancee and I were driving on a road in Marysville, Washington called Hilltop Rd. It starts off winding through woods and while curving to the right we saw this gigantic light brown to dark tan hairy figure cross from right to left. I couldn't see the head because it was above the area illuminated by the truck lights, but I saw that the shoulders were at least three feet across, and at the shoulders it was at least 8-8.5 feet tall, and while it ran I could see the arm/shoulder movement and the thighs move as well. With how steep the area it was that it went down, and how wooded and rainy it was I don't think a human could navigate its way down there as quickly as it did, because by the time I had stopped and gotten out it was gone, but you could hear the crashing of it moving through the brush and trees.

ALSO NOTICED: Saw leaves and stuff that came down the hill from where he crossed the street. My dog must've heard something while parked because with the windows down she began wimpering and crawled from the back onto my fiancee's lap watching the woods, and wouldn't drop her focus from the spot where the noise must have come from that she heard.

OTHER WITNESSES: 2, my fiancee and I. We were headed up to the hill to park at our favorite makeout spot

OTHER STORIES: No, the closest I'd heard of sightings were Gold Bar or Walker Valley.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: It was about 11:00 to 11:30 at night and it was dark and rainy. The only light was my headlights which was still enough to see what it was... Bigfoot

ENVIRONMENT: Hilly area with woods that may flood or pool up with water so it becomes swampy

Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator John Ray:

I met with the witness at the sighting location, and as I spoke with him I found him to be very credible as he related the details of his sighting without the least degree of variation.

Additional details that can be added:

- The creature was about 20 feet in-front of the truck.
- The creature took three steps to cross the road.
- The creature's hair was shaggy, and from 1-2 inches in length.
- The hair color was light brown, with its back being a somewhat darker brown.
- The arms were really long.
- The witnesses have previously heard footsteps and a faint scream in the woods, and smelled a strong body odor/dead fish scent near their truck while they were parked near the area of the sighting.
- The creature had to come down a steep bank in order to cross the road.
- The area where the creature ran into is a stream bed with a lot of vegetation within a ravine.
- There was a discernible trail leading up the other side of the ravine from the sighting area.

It is highly probable that the witnesses were privileged to see a sasquatch that evening.

The picture below is the sighting area from he witnesses' point of view. The creature crossed the road from right to left.

The picture below is the bank which the creature descended in order to cross the road.

The picture below is the area that the creature ran into after it crossed the road.

Here is a closer image of the area that the creature ran into after it crossed the road.

Hilltop road is in North Marysville and is directly west of a large wooded area that runs virtually uninterrupted into the Cascade foothills, and has ample room for large animals to move undetected. The direction that the creature was traveling when seen was towards the wooded area.
