Sighting at Camp Oyo Boy Scout Camp on Rt. 125
(Show Printer-friendly Version)

YEAR: 1977

SEASON: Fall

STATE: Ohio

COUNTY: Scioto County

LOCATION DETAILS: Camp Oyo Boy Scout Camp on Rt. 125

NEAREST ROAD: Rt 125

OBSERVED: While taking a break during a hike back from the Lou Wetzel cabin, we were sitting at a picnic area just below the Clark cabin when we seen a creature walking upright on it's hind legs with long brown hair and piercing green eyes. We was only able to see from the waist up due to the brush.

ALSO NOTICED: Later that evening the camp caretakers dog was barking uncontrollably. This went on for sometime until the caretaker fired 3 gun shots.

OTHER WITNESSES: Sitting at a small picnic table after hiking back from the Lou Wetzel cabin and talking.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: Approximately 1977 or 1978 in the late fall. I can remember that the nights got cold.

ENVIRONMENT: It is the Shawnee Forest with all species of trees, but mainly pine. It was on a hill at the bottom was a small creek that flows into the camps lake. There are cabins in the area one on each ridge. There was also a trail that lead back into the forest to the Lou Wetzel cabin.

As for longitude & latitude I would have to find a map, but I could take you there today and show you the general area.
