LOCATION DETAILS: Lost valley road, up towards the mountain. There is a trail that heads in between 2 trees. Once you walk past the trees there’s a opening like a plateau.

[Investigator (MM) Notes: I won't provide the GPS coordinates for this location until our investigators can check out the area. I can say their camping area is roughly 1 mile east of Lost Valley Reservoir.]

NEAREST TOWN: New meadows

OBSERVED: I was camping up the mountain from Lost Lake with my boyfriend Colton, and friends Cory, Abi, Myron, Alek, Jacob, Jeffery, Daniel, his girlfriend Baylee, and their 4 month old Macie. We had gone camping the memorial weekend of 2026. May 22nd to the morning of May 25th.

The first 2 days there was some arguing between Abi and Baylee, which continued on and off the rest of the weekend. Friday night, Abi had seen a tall dark figure a couple yards behind Daniel and Baylee’s tent but didn’t say until Monday morning because she didn’t want to freak anybody out. Abi and Baylee had a huge argument at our Camp mid-day Saturday. During the argument, Colton walked off into the tree line to get away from the argument and I later followed to look for him. Our campsite was on a very secluded trail in the tree line off the main road. Colton had circled back to camp, and I kept looking for him not knowing he returned. While I continued to look for him, it sounded like something was walking with me in the tree line and whistling at me in different directions to get me lost in the forest. About 10ish minutes later I start walking back towards camp and Colton runs up towards me and said he has been back at camp since I took off looking for him. At the time I thought he was the one whistling at me in the woods so I didn’t think much of it.

That night Colton, Cory, Abi, and I stayed up until around 2am taking around our campfire when we heard branches breaking behind me, we then heard coyotes howling so we wrote it off as the coyotes wandering around the forest.

Around 3am on Sunday, when everyone was sleeping, Baylee thought she heard Cory trying to start his car, as Cory and Abi were sleeping in their car during the trip. She then said it sounded like a really aggressive and rhythmic knocking, but wrote it off as a woodpecker. That same day we heard about 2 girls that were taken from their camp by an older man. After we were notified about the kidnapping Daniel had a really aggressive headache. He went to take some Ibuprofen and felt the urge to use the bathroom. He headed to the bucket we had set up as our bathroom when he saw a figure on 2 legs. He said it looked about 9 feet tall with blank reflective eyes and was walking towards him. He raced over to Jacob, then to Colton’s car to grab our .22 rifle. He looked over at me and told me to get the baby and the two girls into Jacob’s camper. Jacob, Alek, and Jeffery had stayed behind with us girls and the rest of the guys went into the forest to look for what Daniel saw.

They let off warning shots and returned to camp and said they were heading to our friends’ camp down the way because they heard the “person” run that direction. They headed to our friends’ camp and later stated they were circled by 3 or more creatures in the woods.

Our friends, Dillion and Sabrina, were camping off an abandoned road. They later returned and Daniel and Colton said they saw 3 creatures that stood 9 feet tall with dark fur and standing on 2 legs with blank reflective eyes. They described it as a human looking animal that was too tall to be a person and too fast to be human. They stated the creatures knew how to hide behind the trees and were circling them and trying to separate them from each other. Colton then stated he shot one of them, and then shot off 5 warning shots.

The next morning Baylee heard the same knocking around 3am. We also found hand handprints on Colton’s car, me and Colton were sleeping inside the car with our dog Jake, and on Jacob’s Powerstroke. I called my mother and she immediately stated it was a Sasquatch as there were many sightings reported around there.

Monday morning, Colton, Daniel, Baylee, and I drove around our friends camp and found trees broken and put together as sideways crosses all in a wide circle with what appears to be Teepees made out of trees. Right in the middle was where our friends were camping. When we came back to camp, Jacob, Alec, and Colton found prints and nests around our camp.

ALSO NOTICED: Footprints, handprints on cars, knocking on trees, people getting terrible migraines just before the sighting, people getting a feeling of being watched, hearing something running at them and around them. Before we saw them, we were shooting our .22 rifle at cans off a tree stump.

OTHER WITNESSES: 10, we were all sitting around the campfire talking with each other

OTHER STORIES: My mother had said just the year before two campers kayaking at Lost Lake saw 2 of the same creatures watching them from the edge of the lake.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: 11pm-4am, completely dark outside.

ENVIRONMENT: Pine Forest, our campsite was in a big opening in the forest off the side of the mountain, heading up from lost valley road.

Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator Matthew Moneymaker:

I spoke with two of the witnesses by phone so far. They are telling the truth. The only question is whether it was a misinterpretation.

There were 10 people on this camping trip. Nearly all of them are 18 year olds from the town of Parma, Idaho. Four of these teens had visual sightings in daylight around this camp. Most of the remainder of the group heard sounds at one point or another.

Given the history of the general area and the number of visual observations (four eyewitnesses) in this case, it is pretty obvious some sasquatches were there, at least three of them.

I asked whether there was any possibility that other campers in the area were messing with them. The two witnesses I spoke with explained how far in the middle of nowhere they were.

When young people want to go camping in this part of the country they don't go to crowded campgrounds because there's so many other options to get far, far away from anyone else. And these teens were definitely miles away from anywhere else in the Payette National Forest. The nearest camp ground area was a 30 minute drive away.

I am currently trying to arrange a group interview with them all, perhaps recorded on Zoom. I have included some photos below.

One photo shows 5 of the 10 teens from Parma. Another shows the vehicles at a pit stop on the drive to the location. The final image shows a likely sasquatch footprint they photographed near the camp. There are also photos of possible hand prints on vehicle windows (not shown).
