ATTENTION Witnesses & Local Media

There are many documented, credible bigfoot encounters from several areas in Florida, including some nearly 100 years old.  More recently, BFRO members have had close encounters at night during BFRO expeditions in a handful of these areas across the state.

Bigfoot encounters/sightings do not occur in every part of Florida, but they do occur repeatedly in particular pockets of natural terrain, extending from the western pandhandle region down to the southernmost section of the Big Cypress National Preserve on the edge of the Everglades.

The sighting locations are never far from creeks/rivers or swamps, and are always in zones with populations of whitetail deer (Odocoileus virginianus).

Florida-BFRO members treasure the opportunity to meet credible witnesses who can point them to sighting areas previously unknown to them.

A local townhall meeting for witnesses has proven to be very efficient for gathering lots of reliable information over the course of a few hours.

The map information to be gathered at the meeting will be noted in a KMZ file (for use with Google Earth). will be available to attendees who request it afterward
