OBSERVED: A year of something running around the house, chasing the horse, splashing on the edge of the lake and Dad chasing it at night with shots fired. Grandmother first heard it and
several boys sighted it including a friend of the family.

OTHER WITNESSES: My family and various guests and neighbors. Mostly going to bed.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: We believe that a bigfoot creature lived in our area for the entire summer in 1977.

ENVIRONMENT: North of Dark Lake--pine forest, located in Superior National Forest.

Follow-up investigation report:

Had a wonderful series of exchanges with the witness whose family was alone in viewing the visitor except for a friend of her brother. In the single daylight observation description I have from the witness, she was told (by her mother who is not living anymore) it was very large and reddish and was seen eating raspberries. She mentioned to me that her sister was very much afraid of staying in the house and had been hearing things out her window. In time, after taking her sister's place in the house, it became evident that "someone" was out there. Glimpses were all anyone got except the good look by her mother and I was told her brothers must have seen it. There will be some more interviews done here which should shed some more substantial information on this particular report.
