Possible footprints found in the snow on a farm near Nashville
(Show Printer-friendly Version)
COUNTY: Holmes County
NEAREST TOWN: Nashville
NEAREST ROAD: Sate Route 179
OBSERVED: I was walking through a field while deer hunting and noticed odd tracks in the snow. I knelt down for a better look and noticed that the tracks had toes like humans do. I do not see a reason why a human would be walking through a field in deep snow barefoot. I have two photos of the tracks saved to my cell phone.

The following can be added to this report. He found many tracks on his property. They were heading north on his property and he followed them until they left his property. It had snowed and he found the tracks around noon. The best photo:
He estimates that the tracks were at least thirteen inches long. He did not hear anything while out on his property.
Odell Lake is to the north, two wildlife areas are to the northeast. The Mohican River is to the southwest, as is the park.
The area has ponds and has farmlands that include crops and animals.
