NEAREST TOWN: Smackover AR

NEAREST ROAD: 7th street, 1 mile from hwy 7

OBSERVED: 2am taking friend home from work just outside of town Smackover Ark on 7th street from behind a tree my headlights shined a set of red eyes. It had head tilted a little like peeking around the tree for just a second, then I saw it as it turned. I saw the front chest, arm and shoulder and legs. It looked like grayish hair with black all mixed in.

It was huge. I guess 7-8 feet tall but shoulders very wide. It took one step and was gone. It was as close as 60-70 feet, close enough that I got good look with my headlights. I looked at Richard and said "Tell me you saw that". He said yes. I was shocked. It was exciting but also scary. Those eyes I see them when I close my eyes.

Now I know they are real and they are here. Be glad to talk to who ever about it. I’m 67 years old male. Hunted fished all my life. Never thought about any of this ever till now. Just thought I ought tell and report it. I told lots people anybody that would listen. It’s like they don’t care or don’t believe me. I know what we saw. It was no bear and no person.

OTHER WITNESSES: Myself and Richard who works with me. We were just commenting on deer we saw in a lighted opening next to a house

OTHER STORIES: Never heard of anything till this happened when I told friends about it
Marsha friend of mine told me of a incident her and her daughter had on dirt road, as the crow flies maybe 5-6 miles from our sighting.
Her and daughter was walking on Artision road when they heard a load knock like someone hit a tree. They stopped, waited. It did it again very loud. They hurried back to their car and left scared.

TIME AND CONDITIONS: 2am driving weather was clear lighting was dark

Smackover creek bottom not far away
Large field next to the thick pine woods
