Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator Harold Benny:

I spoke to the witness by phone and she is credible. The sighting was at a distance of thirty feet under a street light and lasted six to seven seconds. It was preceded by a series of popping noises that the witness thought might have been caused by the animal clicking its teeth. The animal was heading south, walking in the ditch between the mailbox and a hay field, and left no tracks. The body was muscular and heavy, estimated to be over 500 pounds and covered with a neat, white to light brown hair, one to two inches long. The creature's hairless face was brown in color, with a flat nose, thin lips and no visible ears. The appearance was very human. Its arms hung down to its knees and ended in large, hairless hands. The witness' aunt noticed an odor in the air that smelled like a dead and rotting animal.

Caves dot this area of the Daniel Boone National Forest - London Ranger District. This District is best known for Laurel River Lake, a 5,600 acre reservoir. There is a small pond to the north and a creek directly east. Since the sighting, several witnesses have heard loud howling coming from the area north of the pond. The howls last about ten seconds each, and are repeated in a series for up to three minutes.
