Morty Kit Instructions:
Mounting the Camera

When the camera is ready to shoot, carefully raise it up to the camera bracket.

Slide the camera into the bracket until it is snug against the top and side bracket arms.

Grab the rear rubberband and loop it under the camera it to hold it in position.
The rear rubberband is anchored by a nail in the branch. You can put the nail at various points, or use more than one nail.

It looks sloppy, but it's easier to grab the rubberband and release the camera when the rubberband is extended this far.

The rear rubberband can be looped over various protruding pieces on the bracket.

The photo shows the rear rubberband looped over the axle for the trigger hammer.

Here's the tricky part:
Before looping the red rubberband over the camera, you need to insert and hold the cotter pin in place.

If the cotter pin is not in place when you loop the red rubberband around the camera, the hammer will push the photo trigger. Then you'll have to reset the camera again.

With one hand, hold the cotter pin in place while pulling the red rubberband around the camera with the other hand. Once the rubberband is around the camera, the cotter pin will stay in place and you can let go.
Give yourself some slack on the bait line when adjusting the camera or rubberbands. Adjusting the camera may cause the cotter pin to fall out if there's tension on it.

Instructions with Photos:

These photos show a Morty Trap under a simulated tree branch.

When you deploy a camera in the field you will likely add some camoflauge to it.

There are many ways to camoflauge or conceal the camera if necessary. We'll be showing various ideas as people send us in their photos.

Just make sure any concealment method won't allow rainwater to pool up around the camera
